Karol Fitzpatrick

Accompanist: Junior & Senior Choirs      

 

Karol Fitzpatrick graduated with a BMus (Hons) degree from Queen’s University Belfast and moved to Scotland in 1990 to pursue her studies. In Belfast she studied piano with Elizabeth Bicker and Geoffrey Pratley (Royal Academy of Music) and at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland she studied piano accompaniment with Jack Keaney.

Karol has worked in Scottish secondary schools as a Head of Curricular Music and Director of Music. She continued her studies in Education Management at Edinburgh University where she gained her Masters degree. Karol teaches part-time at Dollar Academy and works as a visiting assessor for the Scottish Qualifications Authority. She is Principal Assessor for Advanced Higher Music.

Karol currently works as an accompanist and choral leader and has recently delivered online chamber choir sessions for danceSing. She has also worked with danceSing Care to create music sessions for care homes. She is passionate about communicating her love of music and singing to both children and adults.
